About the foundation
We built this because silence was killing people we knew.
Sprout Back Again Foundation LBG exists to tell the truth about drug abuse and to put a reachable human on the other end of the line when someone is ready to ask for help.
Most people who get pulled into drugs in this country get silence, shame, or a lecture. We started Sprout Back Again because that does not keep anyone alive. We answer the phone. We tell families what to do when someone they love is high, missing, or begging for another chance. We put hard facts in front of young people before the first hit feels like a game. And when someone is ready to stop, we do not hand them a flyer and walk away. We stay on the line until they reach the next person who can help.
The name came from watching people try to grow a life out of wreckage. A sprout still carries dirt. We do not ask anyone to pretend the past never happened. We ask them to take the next honest step while someone stands beside them.
We work with parents who have stopped sleeping. With young people who swear they can quit on Monday. With teachers who find pills in a bag and do not know whether to call home or the police. Our job is to shorten the distance between that panic and a real next move: a number, a clinic, a conversation that does not end in a slammed door.
You will not find us selling perfect recoveries. You will find us at the unglamorous work: explaining withdrawal to a frightened mother, sitting through a first counseling intake with a shaking teenager, and going back to the same classroom after a student overdoses so the rumors do not become the only lesson left behind.
